A familiar merge board becomes a fortress when the infected arrive. These ten zombie roles create different problems: speed, numbers, heavy hits, ranged pressure, and attacks on weakened defenses.
Explore all ten portraits below. Each profile explains its attack behavior, relative speed and toughness, warning signs, and ways to respond.
Development guide · Updated October 8, 2026. Behaviors describe the current development build. Speed and toughness labels are relative; wave strength and balance may change before release.
Siege melee · Slow and tough
A heavy threat with powerful tower hits. Its slow approach is your preparation window.

Ranged attacker · Deliberate pace
Spitters stop within range and launch acid at towers. Watch the targeting ring, aim line, and incoming projectile.
Standard melee · Steady pace
The baseline infected. Walkers pressure closed gates, then attack towers after a breach.
Fast melee · Fragile
Runner Rush reaches your defenses faster than a Walker. A short attack interval leaves little room to recover.
Weaving melee · Steady pace
A weaving melee attacker that adds pressure behind the horde.
Self-burst attacker · Slow and tough
A slow, durable threat that uses a damaging self-burst around defenses.

Swarm melee · Steady pace
Individually fragile infected become a threat through numbers.

Landing assault · Fast
It falls onto a high-value tower, then keeps attacking at its landing point.
Read the Drop Crawler profile →
Tower hunter · Fast
A fast hunter that seeks weakened, valuable towers within its entry lane.
Tower jammer · Slow and fragile
This jammer suppresses towers while supporting its squad. Its hovering approach avoids Mines.
